D. Fantasticus

Also known as the Crowned Poison frog or the Red-headed frog. It possesses the features of both the D. ventrimaculatus and D. reticulatus. The front of the frog is yellow-orange, usually with a pair of connected black spots betwen the eyes, the crown. Each frog has a unique variation on the crown. The lower back of the frog has very irregular patten and is characteristic of the species and develops after metamorphosis. It comes from the forest in Peru. Two other variation of the fantasticus are the yellow and banded fantasticus.
